Organizers of the “UNI&NFL Developing Intercultural Competence” Seminar TC (Polish, UK, Irish, Hungarian and Czech National Agencies of Erasmus+ Youth Programme) are looking for 1 European trainer (not from Poland), who will be involved in preparation and carrying out of the seminar in cooperation with all partner NAs and one Polish trainer selected separately.

The seminar is part of the long-term project “Among Others” aimed at exploring how non-formal methods can be used to enhance and develop intercultural competence in higher education. Objectives of the project are: to introduce non-formal education and international cooperation into higher education; to develop intercultural competence of future youth workers and teachers to improve the quality of youth work and to encourage the use of Erasmus+ Youth Programme in working with young people.

Workshops developing intercultural competence of University students are, or will be, delivered on national level in Poland, United Kingdom, Ireland, Hungary and Czech Republic.


Objectives of the seminar are:
• to sum up and evaluate the project;
• to share the concepts and contents of national workshops;
• to learn new approaches;
• to show new possibilities under Erasmus+ to develop intercultural competences.

Target group of the seminar:
• NA representatives/Coordinators;
• national trainers from all five countries;
• other facilitators of projects involving NFL and HEIs (SALTO CD, British Council PL, NGOs, etc.);
• youth work course coordinators/leaders at universities;
• participants of national workshops.


Dates and venue

The prep-meeting
is planned in London, UK on 5-7.03.2015 (arrival on 5th of March in the evening, departure after lunch on 7th of March).

The seminar will take place in Konstancin-Jeziorna (20 km from Warsaw city center), Poland on 20-23.05.2015 (arrival of participants: dinner on 20.05, departure: after lunch on 23.05). Trainers arrive one day before.


Requested trainer profile

Trainers’ profile

Candidates shall:

• have experience in non-formal education and intercultural education;
• have rich experience in the topic of the project;
• have at least 3 experiences as facilitator in international seminars;
• have knowledge about Erasmus+ Youth Programme and other mobility programmes in Europe;
• know non-formal education training/event approaches;
• have very good level of spoken and written English language.

Being familiar with Higher Education sector will be an asset.


Working conditions

Tasks/duties of trainers

The tasks of the trainer include the following:

• to be prepared before, actively attend and to facilitate the preparatory meeting (London, 5-7.03.2015);
• to attend the whole seminar (Poland, 20-23.05.2015), come a day earlier for the last preparations;
• to design, prepare, deliver and evaluate the seminar together with other team members;
• to prepare the final report together with the other trainer.


Trainer’s fee

6 paid days (280 € per day) = 1680 euro (gross amount)

• 3 working days during the seminar;
• 3 days for preparation and evaluation (fixed amount including individual and team preparation, prep-meeting, on-going and final evaluation directly after the seminar + final report; prep-meeting days and final report are not extra paid);
• board, lodging and international travel costs will be covered by organisers.


Team composition

2 trainers - responsible for programme flow, methodology and final report: 1 European trainer and 1 member of Polish Trainers’ Pool and representatives of National Agencies, responsible for the organisational part of the training (concept, promotion of the training, co-operation among NAs, recruitment of participants, logistics, etc.).
