DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT: until end of May
STARTING DATE: Immediate

ROLE, TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager represents INTERSOS with Project stakeholders and donors, in agreement and on the basis of the Area Coordinator and the Head of Mission’s indications.
He is responsible for the implementation of all the activities and the Economic and Financial management of the project. Specifically he/she is responsible to:
Manage relations, pertaining to project activities, with competent donors and institutions
Responsible for accurate project administration and financial management of project funds.
Manage the procurement of goods, works and services essential to the project
Responsible for warehouse stock management and relative accounting and accuracy of the monthly inventory.
Responsible for the accuracy of all narrative reports required by donors;
Contribute to the formulation of new projects and the definition of INTERSOS strategies to be adopted in the host country.
Manage human resources involved in the project and carry out performance appraisals. Specifically.
Provide the Communication sector, when requested, with information on activities carried out and any other matters pertaining the area of intervention.

For the education component, specifically:
• To identify the rehabilitation needs of the schools, taking into account the needs and the community opinion. Define the bill of quantities and be in charge of the procurement process and the supervision of the rehabilitation works carried out by local workers;
• To be in charge of the procurements of the schools equipments and the teaching material;
• To be in charge of the correct storage, transportation, and the proper distribution of the school material to the beneficiaries;
• To organize the training activities for teacher and the “maîtres parents” and the PTA associations, in line with Ministry of Education guidelines and the cluster orientation;
• To negotiate with the Ministry of Education the retune of the appointed teachers, and organize all the logistics related.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Post-graduate degree in Education, Social Sciences, International law, Human rights law or other related field;
• 1-3 years experience working in the field of Education;
• Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, capacity building, project design with excellent analysis and writing skills and budget management;
• Experience in working with and coordinating with internationals donors;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with capacity of mediate, to manage intercultural relations and to work under stress condition;
• Working experience in RCA is a plus;
• Fluent French spoken and written.
