YAP Italia e UNA Exchange cercano 1 volontario/a italiano/a per il progetto di Servizio Volontario Europeo a Cardiff (Wales, UK).
Si tratta di un progetto con l'associazione ASH Wales che si lotta contro lobby del tabacco, promuove lo stile di vita salutare e fa ricerca e monitoring sull'influenza dell'uso delle sigarette sulla salute pubblica. Puoi contribuire anche tu a questa buona causa partecipando al progetto di 11 mesi con la partenza prevista per il 1 Settembre 2015.
ATTENZIONE! Tenendo in considerazione il tema del progetto, i candidati interessati non devono fumare o devono essere disposti a smettere di fumare prima o durante il progetto.

Host project
ASH Wales is the leading organisation in Wales tackling smoking and tobacco use. We are a relatively small organisation with approximately 16 staff. ASH Wales is a charity and company limited by guarantee and has been running as an independent organisation since 2006.
The key activities of ASH Wales are to:
• Communicate the issues relating to smoking and tobacco use in Wales;
• Build effective networks of interested parties working in the tobacco control arena;
• Provide advocacy and support to individuals and projects working in the tobacco control arena, and to those who are not adequately represented in public health policy or practice;
• Lobby for public health measures to protect the health of all people in Wales from the harm caused by smoking and tobacco;
• Undertake projects and research in tobacco control areas particularly with young people.
Project outline
ASH is looking for 1 EVS volunteer to help support and develop their work at their office based in Cardiff and other areas of Wales.
The volunteers will be involved in supporting targeted areas of ASH Wales’ work which includes research and policy work, communications, website and social media, youth development and training work. The volunteer will initially be supporting one or more of these areas of work. For example with regards to research and policy work, he or she will support the officer on relevant research documents and factsheets. If the volunteer works with the young development team, he or she will be involved with delivering health promotion sessions to young people in a youth centre. The volunteer will be expected to support the organisation with organised events run by ASH Wales and with third parties such as Further Education colleges. There is a great variety in the work and depending on the volunteer, there are many options due to the range of contacts and training opportunities available.
Il programma Erasmus+ finanzia:
• Contributo alla spese di viaggio di andata e ritorno dei partecipanti calcolato sulla base della distanza del viaggio (esempio per distanze tra i 100 e i 499 Km è di 180 euro);
• Le spese di vitto e alloggio (attraverso un contributo economico che viene dato all'associazione di accoglienza non al volontario);
• Le spese per il trasporto da casa a lavoro;
• Una copertura assicurativa sanitaria con AXA;
• La formazione linguistica;
• Un Pocket Money mensile per il volontario per le proprie spese personali di circa un centinaio di euro, a seconda del paese.
