Fondazione L’Albero Della Vita sta selezionando un Desk Officer Asia da inserire nella sua sede centrale di Milano che dovrà occuparsi dell’operatività in India, Bangladesh, Nepal e Myanmar. Scadenza candidature 31 luglio 2015.

Fondazione L’Albero Della Vita (FADV) is an international development organization headquartered in Milan – Italy. Since 2006, FADV is operating with the primary objective to promote and protect children basic rights along with improving the quality of living conditions of the marginalized people, with special emphasis on children and women.
Fondazione L’Albero della Vita Onlus (FADV) is selecting a Desk Officer for Asia with the main role of advising and supporting Senior Management while ensuring new funding opportunities and smooth management of development and humanitarian intervention in Asia.

Required competencies:
• University degree – master degree;
• Minimum of 5 years of proven management experience in development cooperation sector and humanitarian aid;
• Experience/knowledge of main Donors (Global Fund, Multi Donors’ Trust Funds, USAID, UE, ECHO, UN, Italian MFA);
• Strong experience in monitoring and evaluation of development and humanitarian actions;
• Strong experience in budget management;
• Strong communication and diplomatic skills, and demonstrated experience in networking and building effective relations with Institutional and private donor;
• Proven experience in personnel management and in capacity building of National/International staff;
• Availability for spending time abroad for feasibility/M&E visits;
• Excellent writing skills;
• Excellent English;
• Strong computer skills including Office Word and Excel.

Main duties:

External Relations

• Contributes to establish and maintain good relations with international institutional and private donors;
• Researches funding opportunities from external donors (institutional and non-institutional donors);
• Ensures visibility of FADV in relevant networks and NGO For a.

Strategy development and enforcement
• Defines, implements and evaluates strategies for the assigned geographical area (according to Regional/Country Strategy Plan);
• Liaisons with other FADV HQ Departments for sharing of data and information about projects;
• Provides to the Head of International Programmes Unit with relevant information for reporting to governing body.

Project Planning
• Prepare and submit concept notes and proposals on development interventions and relief operations in close cooperation with programme team and partners;
• Participates in organisational assessment of potential partners to determine their capacity for handling back donor funding;
• Identifies of needs in order to draw up, present and promote new projects;
• General administration monitoring and management;
• Overall supervision of Country budgets in collaboration with Regional/Country Coordinators and/or Programme Coordinators;
• Monitor and evaluation of projects implementation;
• Is responsible for the coordination or direct implementation of projects activities in Italy;
• Prepares Country budgets and is responsible for budget utilization;
• Is committed with the supervision of BO/LO management and compliance with relevant national legislations;
• Monitors compliance with donors’ and HQs’ administration procedures;
• Defines of expatriates’ or Regional coordinator (when national) recruiting, training and employment in coordination with HQ HR Department and HQ Head of Unit.

Desirable competencies
Knowledge of South East Asia Region (Eastern India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar).
