Call for Trainers: Training for EVS accreditors.

Polish NA - Foundation of the Development of the Educational System is looking for 2 trainers (recruiting two facilitators doesn’t mean that all the sessions will be lead by both of them; furthermore, we allow the possibility of inviting external experts for some of the sessions).

Application deadline:
14th August 2015

Description

Dates and venue of the seminar:
12 – 14 October 2015 (3 full working days), Poland (Konstancin-Jeziorna near Warsaw).

Dates and venue of the preparation meeting: two days (to be defined) during the week of 14 – 20 September, Warsaw (can be moved if needed).

Target Group: EVS accreditors (external and NA + SALTO staff) from across Europe and Partner regions (30 participants).

Context:
The proposed course is an addition to former accreditor’s seminars during which we’ve worked on harmonizing understandings and practices in the field of accreditation. We’ve already looked at many aspects that together ensure the quality of EVS through accreditation: the quality criteria applied in assessment and monitoring, agreed practices, procedures and tools used in accreditation process, accreditor’s competences and roles, additional support tools for EVS promoters etc.

In this TCA we would like to focus on people involved in accreditation and on quality of their work. The previous meetings have shown that exchange of experiences and knowledge is especially fruitful and beneficiary to our work. We would like to create a space for further development of our competences; to reflect on accreditation standards (in particular in view of new features in EVS under Erasmus +) and to train some practical skills that we need/use in accreditation process.

Aim/Content of the seminar (to be further developed):
This TCA should bring together accreditors (and NA + SALTO staff) from across Europe and Partner regions to exchange experiences and support the experts in developing quality of accreditation.

We would like to focus especially on the following aspects:
• to discuss the standards of accreditation and share our knowledge/good practices;
• to deepen the understanding of accreditor’s role/roles in the process – reflect on aspects influencing our work (expectations/requirements in term of different roles played by accreditor, strategies and tools implemented in different national contexts,standards of work etc.);
• to define challenges faced by accreditors and to find possible solutions;
• to practice our skills, especially the communicational skills that are important during interaction phase of accreditation (interview with applicant). Our abilities to lead the conversation, get the information we need, react to difficult situations or give the right feedback are orienting the interaction with an applicant and, as a consequence, the quality of support that we offer as accreditors to EVS organisations.

Requested trainer profile

Candidates shall:

• have knowledge and experience in the field of TCA (especially EVS, EVS accreditation, training in communicational competences, assertiveness);
• have experience in working with NAs and/or SALTOs (including facilitation of NA staff meetings and/or training for experts and other work with NAs/SALTOs at national or European level);
• have very good level of spoken and written English language;
• be able to be present during the full preparation meeting and seminar.

Working conditions

The main tasks of facilitators will be:

• preparation of the methodology of the seminar in cooperation with the prep team;
• facilitation of the seminar; the organisers will ensure the logistic framework of the activity, they will also take an actice role in defining objectives, content and expected outcomes of the activity and might take on specific roles during the activity, to be defined during the preparation meeting;
• drafting of a report summarizing the main outcomes of the training.

Payment: 1.680 € (280 € x 6 days). Board and lodging during the preparation meeting and the activity will be covered by the organisers. Travel costs to both meetings will be reimbursed upon presentation of tickets and invoices.

Team composition
The seminar will be hosted by the Foundation of the Development of the Educational System - Polish National Agency of Erasmus + Programme and organized in cooperation with NIFSP – Erasmus+ Youth National Agency of Hungary.
