This position is located in the Emerging Crimes Programme of United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) in Turin, Italy. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Officer and under the overall guidance of the Director.For more information on UNICRI, please visit our website: www.unicri.it

Responsibilities
Within delegated authority, the Programme Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
• Work with key partners and stakeholders to facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of UNICRI projects and programmes within the thematic areas of: cybercrime, cybersecurity, misuse of technologies, supply chain security and illicit trafficking, in particular trafficking in precious metals.
• Provide substantive support for policy coordination and evaluation functions, including the review and analysis of emerging issues and trends, participation in research activities and studies related to cybercrime, cybersecurity, misuse of technologies, supply chain security and illicit trafficking.
• Monitor and analyze specific aspects of project development and implementation; review relevant documents and reports; identify problems and issues to be addressed and recommend corrective actions; liaise with relevant parties; identify and track follow-up actions.
• Undertake outreach activities, conduct training workshops, seminars, etc.; make presentations on assigned topics/activities to enhance the visibility of the assigned projects and on the work of the Emerging Crimes Programme.
• Assist in activities related to budget funding (project preparation and submissions, progress reports, draft financial statements, etc.) and preparation of related documents/reports (pledging, work programme, programme budget, etc.).
• Participate in or lead field missions, including provision of guidance to external consultants, government officials and other parties and drafting mission reports, etc.
• Perform other duties as required.
