This manual is based on non-formal education (NFE) methods. All sessions were based on participation and practice through learning by doing. Methods such as icebreakers, brainstorming, debates, simulations, presentations, games and team building were used.
Aims of the tool Sharing ideas on how to effectively use social media positively, inclusively and to enhance employability of young people. Also use social media as a tool to raise awareness on issues that the youth are facing
Description of the tool Media for inclusion (MFI) manual This manual is based on the principles of non-formal education (NFE). The methodologies used throughout the whole exchange, in each and every session, were based on participation. Another key feature of the youth exchange was the focus on practice – learning by doing through a variety of methods such as icebreakers, brainstorming, debates, simulations, presentations, case studies, round-tables, role games, team building, etc. In the following pages, you will find the detailed description of these methods.
This tool addresses: Social Inclusion, Disability, Anti-Racism, European Citizenship, Gender issues.
It is recommended for use in: Youth Exchanges, European Voluntary Service.
