SALTO EECA is looking for 3 trainers/experts

Application deadline: 18/07/2016 at 12,00 am

Description

The on-line course is promoted by SALTO EECA, SALTO SEE, SALTO EUROMED, Salto Training and cooperation and National Agencies of Germany, Poland, Ireland and Hungary and aims to support competences building of staff involved in EVS (especially EVS coordinators and mentors), so the implemented projects are of higher quality. This course is not designed for EVS volunteers.

Context:
Reasons for this EVS on-line learning course are the following:
Under Erasmus+ chances for NAs/SALTOs to organize national meetings of EVS coordinators have significantly decreased, but the need is still very much present. Training opportunities, especially in the form of the residential training courses NAs/SALTOs can offer to EVS organizations are not sufficient. EVS organizations, often lacking human resources, are faced with time constraints and cannot be away from work for a duration of the training course.

Concept
The course should allow EVS coordinators and mentors to follow it according to their own pace – meaning individually, anytime and according to the topic they are currently most interested in. The course is universally and freely accessible on the designed platform.

The needs are to support EVS mentors and coordinators to deal with following aspects of EVS projects:
• How to find partners for EVS projects and matching right EVS volunteers (competences related to partner finding and project management);
• How to involve EVS volunteers with less opportunities (competences related to social and inclusion work);
• How to involve EVS volunteer into work of organisation (competences related to non-formal education and youth work, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship);
• How to support EVS volunteers in the design, implementation and evaluation of their personal projects (competences related to project management and learning facilitation);
• How to manage communication in EVS project and manage conflicts (competences related to communication, social and civic competences, conflict management);
• How to facilitate learning process of EVS volunteers and recognise it (competences related to supporting learning process, learning to learn as well framing its outcomes within 8 key competences);
• How to support intercultural learning of volunteers (competences related to intercultural learning, cultural awareness and expression).

Structure
Taking from experiences of MOOC on Erasmus+ we would like to propose several “chapters” that learners can study and access from different angles, according to their needs. The needs stated above should be translated into relevant chapters. Chapters should contain number of lessons with check-points in between, which will allow the learner to digest, reflect and implement gained knowledge. Additionally the course should contain initial Chapter about Erasmus+ (about programme's aims, features and priorities within youth area, possible actions and activities, supporting structures, programme's geography, etc.).

Materials
We would like to use the materials that were already developed by SALTO Resource Centres, National Agencies and other organisations. We would be glad if the materials used are various, so the lessons are diverse and allow participants to keep the motivation and energy in the process (including webinars, cartoons, graphics, text reading, tasks to be done in reality, etc.) The checks of learning should be also made in different ways, like quizzes, reporting in social media, simple on-line games etc.

Requested trainer profile
Trainer with a long term experience in EVS in Programme Countries and/or in thein the Partner Regions.

The trainer should be familiar with online educational strategies.

The trainer should be familiar with educational online training platforms and be interested to cooperate in the design of the training course and not only in its contents.
