Description

Together with local associations, the City of Nantes and Nantes Metropole are organizing on 26-29 October 2016 the next edition of Nantes Creative Generations european youth initiative Forum. www.nantescreativegenerations.eu.

During 4 days in Nantes, young people involved in innovative projects designed to strengthen the no¬tion of citizenship, of «living together» are invited to present projects, debate, share experiences, improve skills and take part in cultural events.

As well as showcasing their own projects, participants will learn from peers across Europe and gain better understanding of the European dimension of local projects.

60 participants, aged 18 to 30, will come from Nantes and 17 European countries, in order to take part in plenary sessions, workshops, social and cultural events.

Part of the organization will be assumed by local NGO's working in the field of youth activities and European information.

Main programme:
• Wednesday night: Welcoming participants, dinner, getting to know each other;
• Thursday: Morning - Official launch and presentation of projets (Informal time). Afternoon - Workshops -Discovering projecst in smaller groups. Night : City hall reception;
• Friday: Morning and afternoon : 2 workshops on '"Creativity, projets methods" and "Financial tools - NCG Cooperation award, EU funds, crowdfunding, etc." Night: Cultural evening;
• Saturay: Morning and midday: City visits and lunch.

The SALTO trainer, in cooperation with the organization, will be the animator and will mark the rythm of the event.

He will have:
• To animate the general Forum in a dynamic way, proposing "ice-breakers", facilitating transition between different parts of the programme, creating link between participants, organizers, etc.
• To co-animate a workshop with a local NGO on friday. Depending on the skills and wishes of the trainer, it would deal with "Creativity, projets methodology" or "Financial tools - Funds in the fields of youth and Europe (Erasmus +, Europe for citizens, etc.), crowdfunding, etc."

This workshop would be organized on friday morning with a group of 30 participants (2,5 hours) and repeated in the afternoon with another group. Interactive and dynamic methods would be highly appreciated.

Requested trainer profile
The trainer should have some experience and interest in the following fields:
• Animation (Communication skills), group dynamics and motivation;
• Youth and intercultural exchanges;
• Citizenship education;
• Kwnowledges and skills in "creativity, project methodology" and/or "Financial tools in the field of youth and Europe".

Language skills required:
• English;
• French.

Working conditions
Preparation process, after selection:
• 1 or 2 videoconferences to prepare the event (Fist one to be done by mid-september);
• Final meeting preparation in Nantes on October 26.

Trainer would have to be in Nantes during the all Forum, starting from October 26 in the morning and finishing on October 29 at 3 PM.

Financial conditions:
• Travel, accomodation and food are covered by organizers (Travel costs to be refunded after the event);
• Daily fee to be defined following SALTO recommandations.

Team composition
Lots of people are involved in the organization of the event:
• Members of Nantes Métropole and City of Nantes (4-5 persons) in charge of the general organization.
• Members of local NGO's involved in a working group whith regular meetings during all year (10 persons), who participate in the general organization and are also in charge of some workshops.
• Media team (Partnerhsip with Euradionantes and European Youth Press).
