Mobility Taster: try mobility as a tool for inclusion
This is a low-threshold short "taster" course (3 working days) for 25 inclusion workers (working with young people with fewer opportunities) to discover what Erasmus+ has to offer. Practical, hands-on, tailor-made offer to get new inclusion organisations on board. We aim to repeat this course regularly, so that NAs can send potential inclusion beneficiaries at short notice.
Aim
This short taster course aims to show inclusion organisations (new to the Programme) what Erasmus+ Youth in Action could do for them (and for their young people with fewer opportunities). The "Mobility Taster" should inspire, give concrete examples, but also a no-nonsense overview of the application process - and the support available for them.
Concept
The short duration (max 3 days) should make it easier for inclusion professionals to take part (less time away from the office). Repeating this course several times would allow NAs to send new inclusion organisations within relatively short notice after expressing interest in using mobility as a tool for young people with fewer opportunities.
Requested trainer profile

Because the German & Austrian NA want to make the Mobility Taster even more accessible for inclusion workers, they want to run the course in German language:
• From 20 (arrival) to 24 (departure) November 2017 - Bonn, Germany;
• Spring 2018 - Austria (dates and venue to be confirmed).
Therefore, we are looking for 1 trainer that can deliver such a short intense inspiring & motivating Mobility Taster (concepts exists) in German language (preferably native speaker). However, this trainer can join the mini-pool of 'Mobility Taster' trainers - and also run the "Mobility Taster for Inclusion Organisations" in English.
The trainer should be:
• Knowledgable about Erasmus+ Youth in Action: the different actions, criteria, application process, practicalities, tips & tricks (preferably from own experience);
• Experienced in the inclusion field, working with young people with fewer opportunities and inclusion organisations (so that you know their reality, and obstacles that keep them from applying for mobility projects - and the support they need);
• Skilled in facilitating educational processes, using a variety of methods, motivating participants, tailoring a programme to the needs of the group,...
• German native speaker/writer (to adapt the course material in German) and good (international) English;
• Flexible and able to adapt to different team compositions;
• Of course you would need to be available for the available course date itself.
Working conditions
This course will run several times. The "Mobility Tasters" in German language will take place:
• From 20 (arrival) to 24 (departure) November 2017 - Bonn, Germany;
• Spring 2018 - Austria (dates and venue to be confirmed).
Besides this, in 2018 a number of "Mobility Tasters" will be run in English too, and this trainer can possibly also work on one of these (according to availability).
The German speaking trainer will work together with Mieke Neven-McMahon who speaks reasonable German. However the German speaking trainer will be the “native speaker” of the team and take care more of transferring course material in German (where needed).
A one day prep-meeting between Mieke and the trainer is foreseen (according availability).
The trainers will be contracted by SALTO Inclusion (JINT) and paid based on the SALTO trainer fees (290 € per training day x 3 = 870 € + the same amount as a lump sum for all prep, communication, reporting,... for the first course. 290 € per training day x 3 = 870 € + half of that amount as a lump sum for the second course). These amounts are 'all-in'.
The travel (2nd class, economy) to the meetings and courses and the food/lodging during the meetings and courses will be taken on board by either SALTO Inclusion or the host NA.
Team composition
Each Mobility Taster will be run by 2 trainers with the support of representative of SALTO Inclusion and the host NA.
