Call for Trainers: “Under the same roof” seminar - how to work cross-sectorally on inclusion.


SALTO Inclusion and the Romanian National Agency for the E+ is looking for 2 trainers: one from Romania & one international trainer. One of them taking the role of facilitator-author of the publication/guidelines.

Venue: Romania.
Working language: English.
Group size: Max 35 participants (from Erasmus+ programme countries).

Theme:
2,5 days seminar on cross-sectoral cooperation on inclusion, with specific focus on addressing issues that young Roma are faced with. Will be exploring different elements of cooperation between youth work and other sectors (formal education, employment, health, social & business sector...): What works and what doesn’t and why? How can we do it better and more efficient? How do we set up partnerships? How do you benefit more from it, as a stakeholder? One of the outcomes will be a practical publication focusing on underlying success factors for cross-sectoral cooperation in the field of inclusion – “guidelines for successful cross-sectoral cooperation”.

Programme & methodology: The programme will combine input, workshops and showcasing good practices.

General aim:
To promote sustainable cooperation between professionals from different sectors in order to create better opportunities for young Roma and other young people in a vulnerable situation to enable their active involvement and integration in society.

Objectives:
• To explore strengths and weaknesses of holistic, joined-up approaches/projects targeting young people with fewer opportunities, especially Roma;
• To exchange the possible ways to work together and methods to intervene;
• To get to know different realities and sharing best practices;
• To stimulate development of cross-sectorial partnership projects for young people with fewer opportunities and Roma;
• To explore possibilities of the Erasmus+:Youth in Action programme, in addressing the issues that young people with fewer opportunities are facing;
• To create “Tips & tricks for successful cooperation” publication/guidelines.

Profile of participants:
Professionals with experience working on the issue of young people with fewer opportunities and/or Roma (face-to-face workers as well as managers/decision makers). International experience is not a must.
• Youth workers (grassroots – involved in outreach youth work and directly working with young people with fewer opportunities/Roma);
• Formal education representatives - Teachers, school support staff, alternative education staff, vocational programme staff,…;
• Researchers, academics with focus on holistic approach and inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and Roma?;
• Local authorities/policy makers responsible for social provision;
• Representatives of social and health services;
• Employers, apprenticeships programmes, employment agencies, job centres, job clubs, job coaches…

Requested trainer profile
We are looking for 2 facilitator (one from Romania & one international) to prepare and conduct the seminar, together with the rest of the team. One of them taking the role of facilitator-author of the publication/guidelines.

We are looking for trainers with the following profile:
• Ability to work in (international) English. For applying to work as author of the practical publication – “guidelines for successful cross-sectoral cooperation” (to be completed after the seminar) also experiences in writing educational texts/publications in English is required.
• Experience with facilitation of seminars, group discussions, making sense of contributions from different stakeholders (from different professions but also different countries) – leading to coherent outcomes.
• Experience & knowledge of the topic: social inclusion and issues of the young people with fewer opportunities, especially Roma, policies relevant to Roma, synergies between formal and non-formal education, employment, health, social & business sector, reaching out / access
• Romanian facilitator should also know the local reality very well & be able to help with organising the local, projects visits.
• Availability for the prep-meeting and seminar itself.

Working conditions
2.5 working days at 290EUR per day, plus a lump sum of 725EUR covering all preparation, communication/reporting and follow-up. In total: 1450EUR.

One of the facilitators gets an additional role of author/editor (in cooperation with SALTO Inclusion RC) of a practical educational publication based on the know-how and results of seminar and on documenting done by the facilitators for which she/he receives an additional fee of 1000EUR.
