Grant officer (EC funded actions) – Italy
COOPI is currently looking for a Grant Officer for the Project Design Department of the Program Quality and Innovation Office to based in COOPI Headquarters in Milan.
The main responsibility is to support the Heads of Mission and the Desk Officers during projects submission and management for the projects funded by the European Commission.
Reports to: Head of Program Quality and Innovation Office.
Duration of the contract: 12 months (renewable).
Location: Milan, Italy.
Closing date: 15 june 2017.
Key Responsibilities:
• To support projects submission in line with the donor’s guidelines and formats;
• To give advice on donor requirements during the implementation phase of the projects;
• To support the donor reporting process ensuring compliance with donor requirements;
• To contribute to the dissemination of information regarding the donor;
• To support the specific training of the staff assigned to field missions.
Qualifications
Essential requirements:
• At least 2 years of previous experience on the field in development of proposal and project management in international cooperation (better if in an international NGO);
• Excellent knowledge of English and French.
Other requirements:
• Education: university degree/master degree in International development or equivalent;
• Knowledge of donor mechanisms, in particular ECHO, DEVCO and EU Delegations;
• Ability to interact and collaborate with different stakeholders;
• Ability to work in team and to meet deadlines;
• Very good capacity to produce reports;
• Problem solving;
• Flexibility and confidentiality;
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
