Description

The International School Sport Federation is looking for 1 educational manager/trainer for the implementation of a European project that will start at the beginning of 2018 and end in September 2018. The main objective is to address the issue of gender equality within the school sport world, through the creation of a large-scale event during the International Women’s Day (March 8th), and a long term approach directly impacting the partner school sport federations. This call regards the position of one of the two persons in charge of the pedagogical content of three international trainings, held with groups of about 15 persons (including girls aged 16-17) coming from different European and neighbouring countries. During 4-5 days, participants will acquire new competence related to the organisation of school sport events, within the prism of gender equality and women empowerment through sport.

Requested trainer profile
The selected trainer is expected to
• have strong experience in the field of sport event management;
• have strong knowledge of the history of the sport movement, of the social development of sport, and specifically of women’s perspective;
• have experience in using sport/physical education as a tool to address social challenges, gender equality;
• have experience in working in peer (along with a coach-facilitator);
• have experience in working with the targeted young people (girls aged 16-17);
• speak English fluently.

Working conditions
The selected trainers will be expected to be present and engaged in several events in 2018.
1. SHE RUNS (race & activities): March 6th-9th, Paris, France;
2. SHE RUNS Training (1): 4-5 days, March (dates to be selected), Paris, France;
3. SHE RUNS Training (2): 4-5 days, April-June (dates to be selected), Barcelona, Spain;
4. SHE RUNS Training (3): 4-5 days, June-September (dates to be selected), Brussels, Belgium;
5. SHE RUNS Conference: date to be selected, Brussels, Belgium.

The selected trainers will be offered a contract, which fee will be announced in a later notice, plus all their costs (including travel and subsistence costs) related to the activities described above are covered by the International School Sport Federation. The work fee includes the event/training days and the relevant time for preparations and contributions to the report of each event.

Team composition
The team will be composed of two people. The trainer shall have experience and be ready to work in peer (along with a coach-facilitator).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview. All shortlisted candidates will be informed about the selection by the end of November 2017.
