Seminar: Raising young refugees’ voices in Europe today

The Council of Europe’s Directorate of Youth and Sport proposes a seminar aiming at furt her ing the exchange of experiences amongst young asylum seekers and refugees and youth workers active in this field. The experiences of the past course, the network and current developments in Europe will be taken into account, and the experience of new participants will feed into the overall work of the Council of Europe on the issue. Previous recommendations, networking and ideas shall be furt her developed and deepened.
The main aim of the course is to exchange experiences and reflect on the complex situation of young refugees in Europe today, trying to identify ways to improve the situation. The positive experiences and results of the first pilot seminar shall provide a strong basis for furt her elaboration.
The activity will be organised in strong collaboration with UNHCR.
Deadline for applications
Application forms must reach the EYC Strasbourg by 15th August 2008 at the latest, by post, by fax or by email.
