Description of duties: Volunteer would be involved in the following:
Ongoing activites: Administrative tasks,asisting in different ongoing activities such as workshops with children with special needs, field visits to persons with disabilites.
Development of new activites and impovement of existing ones: Education and awareness raising about the situation of persons with special needs,developing a website for the organization,organizing foreign language classes for schildren, physical exercises with children ,taking children for walks, organizing work therapy and ocupational workshops and art workshops. The volunteer will be provided the opportunity to develop his/her own project according to his/hers interests. Necessary support will be given to the volunteer.
Profile of volunteer:
Ideal volunteer for this placement would have the following characteristics: flexible, social, creative, open for new experiences/cultures/new languages/challenges,motivated to work out new projects,someone who wants to learn,someone who likes to travel,someone who likes to work with people,someone who can organize,someone who can take responsibility,someon who cares for others, someon who wants to help others that are born with less opportunites than them selves.
Special skills: Experience in psychology and work with young people with special needs and fewer opportunities,creative arts and crafts, drama and theatre, physical therepeut to work with children, personal assistent, musical therapeut, defectologyst for work therapy, medical nurse, any person that wants to help, socialize with young people with special needs, a person that wants to make others happy,especially persons with imparements and difficulties.
