Europe Direct Cámara de Oviedo (Asturias, north of Spain) sends you a partner search from the Secondary School (ages 12-16) IES MONTEVIL, in Gijón, Asturias. The school is interested in developing a Comenius project and it is looking for suitable partners. The main objective of the Project is to share seven topics usually teach. The topics will help develop key competences. Topics will be related to the geography, history, nature and traditions of the different regions / countries.
The main objective of the Project is to share seven topics we usually teach. The topics will help develop key competences. Topics will be related to the geography, history, nature and traditions of the different regions / countries. (for example, in Asturias we could work on the following : Seven Asturian Ecosystems - Science, Seven Stops at the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago – Religion Studies, Seven Asturian Painters - English, ….) and topics that are specific to each area (Seven Crystals and a Garden - Chemistry, Planning a Budget – Economy, Endurance and Cardiovascular System – P.E., …) At first seven departments were involved (hence the title of the project) but now the following departments will make their contributions: English, Spanish, French, Physical Education, Economy, History, Art, Science, Religion Studies, Latin, Chemistry, Psychology and Music. A photography workshop will take place while we are working on those topics. As well as a blog, a travelling exhibition showing the work of all the partners and the accompanying photographs will visit every partner country. This way all the students will benefit greatly from the culture of each nation. We are happy to include any suggestions from the partners as the final output may be. All secondary school students, regardless of age or ability, are welcome to this project. Project output will depend on the age of the students involved. Participation in all areas is not necessary. Partners can join in as many areas as they like.
