We have been working on Comenius School Partnership Projects for more than four years, and this year we want to study on environmental issues, especially water shortages in our country/ town. Our project is ready, if you want to take part in our project, kindly fill in the necessary part of the Partner Data form in the attachment and send back to us. Schools having environmental problems and/or water shortage in their cities are preferred. Some information is given below about the project. We know we can do more about this issue because it is the bleeding wound of our World.
Our project is about:
Environmental issues (problems) and Water: the one resource we cannot do without. All human beings need sufficient access to quality water for their survival and their environment. Need for water in every field of our existence makes this resource extremely precious. Constant growth in human consumption and natural disasters are now threatening the sustainability of our drinking water source s. Water scarcity is all over the planet and usage conflicts are in progression. We now understand the crucial need for managing this irreplaceable resource. Integrated Water Resources Management is now recognized worldly as the approach for sustainable management.
A need for global collaboration and partnership. With a theme such Water: the one resource our common heritage (National and Global), all the participants will create a solid partnership for developing transponder partnerships and increase opportunities to discuss sustainable solutions to the many challenges of water management.
Some of the concrete objectives of the project:
• To create a civil society to take actions against excessive water wastage;
• To study over application of laws and policies;
• To find local solutions for the conservation of water resources with the help of active participation of project participants;
• To implement plans and solutions for the extravagant use of water;
• To disseminate the reasons and solutions of local water shortages;
• To discuss the effects of scientific and technological developments on water;
• To discuss the negative effects of global warming on our water resources;
• To work as volunteers to protect our water resources;
• To promote the conservative use of water in schools and cities of the project participants;
• To promote the importance of national parks, nature parks, nature reserves and wildlife reserves;
• To disseminate the results and products of the project on the website;
• To play a significant role in protecting the natural resources and biodiversity of the city and the country of participant institutions;
• To provide a good example of water conservation at schools.
