The main themes of the project are youth information and counseling, youth active participation and European awareness. The aim of the training is to share experience and transfer knowledge to youth workers who are going to learn how to counsel and give out youth information and work with other young people how to avoid youth unemployment. At the same time, we want to show that voluntary work in an NGO can bring work experience to young people, skills and be a step towards achieving great things in the work field. During the 7 days, participants will gain skills, self-confidence, necessary tools, guidance and information on European Labor Market, writing a CV and preparing for an interview.
The objectives of the project are:
- to bring together young youth leaders with different backgrounds for 7 days;
- to enable access of young people to relevant information about youth unemployment, labor market and youth policies,
- to train young people in counseling their pears in avoiding youth unemployment;
- to enable learning opportunities and exchange of good practices among the participants;
- to raise awareness of young people and of employers about the value of volunteer experience;
- to plan future projects on local and European level, promoting the development of European cooperation of common issues.
Target group:
youth leaders and youth workers, aged between 18 – 25 years old.
Results:
long term cooperation with the partner organization and initialization of continuous local programs dedicated to young people.
