IMAGINA- Servicio de Juventud de Alcobendas is looking motivated candidates for our EVS projects in Alcobendas, Spain.
Duration:
From 1st of October 2010 to 31st of June 2011
Project’s description:
The volunteer will be integrated within the working team of Public libraries. There, She/he will work especially in children and teenager lecture room and will participate in the daily activities of the service. Besides, there will be some others activities that will be developed by the volunteer in IMAGINA Youth Centre.
Target group:
Children under 13 years old.
Objectives:
- Supporting activities to encourage kids and youngsters to read.
- Organizing workshops and leisure activities for improving language skills in children and youngsters.
- Introduce an European volunteer to further the cultural environment on libraries
Main activities:
- Planning and developing activities for reading (with different types of documents) in lecture rooms of children (from 0 to 13 years old). It will strengthen the creativity of the volunteer in order to propose and develop activities which introduce the children the cultural diversity of Europe through the tales and the animation activities.
- Planning and developing the invigorating social activities: collaboration with the different groups of inhabitants to develop the activities and the actions which strengthen the intercultural living. It includes the creation of meeting spaces and the exchange of experiences of the didactic, artistic and cultural character. It will strengthen the creativity of the volunteer like the capacities of coordination and assertively necessary for the development of a joint project with other local organizations.
- Supporting some others activities that will take place in IMAGINA youth centre related to other EVS project.
