The training course "Learning by doing: methodology and tools to lead a group in a learning process". The training will be held in Venice Mestre (Italy) from 9 to 15 October 2010 and I'm in charge for the coordination.
Target:
The training course will be in English and it is addressed to teachers/trainers/educators working in the following fields:
- Adult education provider;
- Second chance or remedial education;
- Adult education for disabled persons;
- Higher education institution offering outreach courses for adults;
- Organizations working with migrant groups/ethnic minorities;
- Centers for guidance, counseling or accreditation;
- Other sectors of adult education;
- Youth workers (if the youngsters are more than 18 you.)
Context and objectives:
Non formal education methodologies is one of the approach that can be used in any group of persons (both teenagers and adults) that are facing a learning process. It can be used in training, schools, workshops, laboratories and leisure time but often it is not used in an effective way and the learning aspects are not as strong as they could be. The objectives of the training are:
- to clarify and discover the meaning of non formal education and of learning by doing;
- to learn how to use the tools of experience learning;
- to learn how to transfer every activity in a learning process for the participants;
- to learn how to create a training agenda in order to fulfill the macro-objectives set by a training project;
- to be able to assess a quality criterias in a learning process.
