EDRA is a sending - hosting - coordinator organization located in Athens / Greece since 2001.
We would like to let you about our next vacancies.
• For 2008-GR-8, we will not apply again this year, as it is not active by now.
• For 2007-GR-47, I let you know that this ei-ref is already substituted by the 2010-GR-15 (because 2007-GR-47 is expiring in September 2010)
• The positions are for 6-10 months EVS starting 1st January 2011 (or December 2010) (upon volunteer's availability).
• I will apply for 2 volunteers for the 1st September deadline..so hurry up, because by the end of July I will have to do the selection of the volunteers!
Please, if you have any interested volunteer in working in the field of mental health, send me CV, photos, and motivation letters.
Info for Volunteers
To be a volunteer in EDRA:
• you have to be at least 18 to 30 years old;
• you have to be available for some time (6-10 months);
• you have to be able to speak English at least at a basic level of understanding;
• you have to send a CV (photo is necessary), and a motivational letter emphasizing your interest and motivation in relation to the project you are applying for (that is, 2010-GR-15) and some words about your background.
Please, make sure that you mention any serious – chronic health problems, allergies, etc. Also, make sure that you send us your contact details (phone number, e-mail, other relevant contact like Yahoo messenger ID, Facebook, etc) as well as a contact of your sending organization if you have it (or as soon as you will have it)
• you have to be interested to carry out various activities in the field of mental health – we also consider prior experience in the field as an advantageous point
• you have to be able to face challenges and ready for unpleased moments as well, as it's not a vacation, but an opportunity given for self development , this means commitment ! Note that, developing initiatives, being positive, energetic, communicative, friendly, and “team-worker” are all considered as “wanted”.
