Amateur photographers from 18 to 30 years old residing in EU Member States are invited to take part in this competition and propose concrete solutions to fight poverty. Participants will have to submit a photo documentary comprising 3 to 6 photos illustrating "solidarity" as an effort to fight poverty and social exclusion.
The authors of the best documentaries will win semi-professional photographic kits, and will also be invited to Brussels to attend a seminar on combating poverty in Europe and have their photos displayed in an exhibition.
Deadline to submit photos is 30 September 2010.
The competition is organised by the Party of European Socialists Group in the Committee of the Regions as a contribution to the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.
