Our Comenius Project will take place from September 2011 to July 2013.
General description of the project:
Debt to the lack of knowledge our students have about the European Union concept, we will like to design a Comenius Project based on it. Our students can study the organization of Europe and how the different countries are connected between them. We will also base our work on the different communication channels between the countries and the different possibilities of connection between us such as European Educational Programmes, means of transport and European Law.
Main objectives:
Through this work, we aim to help our students to discover the global dimension of Europe. For this matter we can base our work on the knowledge of its Institutions (The European Council, Parliament, Court of Justice, etc.) from a global view, the connections between the different countries and the mains of transport, the study of the main characteristics of the different countries that develop the project (such as its climate, food, major cities and their population figures, the education system, major historical events….). Of course how we are connected between us and how we will be able to connect in the future (we can explain several ways such as Erasmus and some other European programmes). Our students can make a European Passport where they can assimilate the European feeling and connection between the countries involved in the project and the rest of Europe.
Main activities:
Our students can develop the different activities:
• Our students will develop a chart of the main institutions of the European Union
• We will work on the main articles of the European Constitution.
• We can make a chart of the different countries involved in the project with its main information: Climate, food, major cities and their population figures, major exports, major imports, education system and also main historical events.
• We can plan the mobilities and find the best means of transport and the current money we will use in each country.
• We can elaborate a European Passport. Children can use it and imagine how Europe can work in the future.
