The school "El Taller" from Fortuna, Murcia (south east of Spain) is developing a Comenius Multilateral Association project about the subject "teaching through the art" for pupils of primary education (3-12 years).
General description of the project:
The project is about how to teach through the arts in primary education. We think that the art is an important part of our culture as european citizens and it help us to share more aspects of our culture. With this project we try to learn how to use the art in all the subject. The language that we use to develop the project will be English
Main objectives:
• To teach different subjects through art,
• To Develop skills to analyze a work of art;
• To Discover the art as a European cultural event;
• Using ICT to communicate and work with other European schools;
• To make funnier and more dynamic the teaching and learning process.
Main activities:
• Creating an information point in school;
• Make individual paintings by the children and prepare an art exhibit;
• Make a video to be sent to the members of the proyect of how was prepared the exhibition of art and paintings;
• Exchange a painting, done by students, from an European artists between the participating schools,
• Make a tutorial on how to include art in math, language and science.
• Realization of four mobilities during the two years of the project.
December 10th is the last day to join the project. We have planned a preparatory visit in December or January to adjust the project to our specific needs. The deadline to submit the project is the 21st of february 2011.
