Summary:
This TC is about reflection and building different perspectives on the migration processes, towards a better understanding and tolerance among the different stakeholders. It is an opportunity to feel empowered and inspired to develop a new strategy.
Target group:
Project managers, Young people, Youth leaders, Youth workers.
For participants from: Youth in Action programme countries.
Group size: 25 participants.

Profile of the participants:
• Young people or youth leaders migrants of with migrant background involved in organizations (or willing to be involved in such projects);
• Basic knowledge and some experience on implementing Youth in Action program;
• English basic knowledge is needed (reflection and conversations);
• Motivated people to develop and follow-up this topic within their organization.
Objectives of the training course:
• To create a space to reflect about the impact of migration flows in Europe (why do people migrate?; different influences on the person, the original community and the hosting country; challenges and opportunities of migration);
• To build a bridge between past experiences and present challenges of migrant communities (building personal and community identity through migration experiences – historical memory);
• To empower young people to develop projects among organizations in the framework of Youth in Action Program (how to tackle migration issues in a inclusive way, showcase of best practices, sharing project ideas and partner finding).
Costs:
Hosting costs will be covered by the hosting NA. In case your are selected, the sending costs for participants will (partly) be reimbursed by the sending NAs depending on the national regulations. Please check the financial conditions with your sending National Agency.
