The association - Polskie Stowarzyszenie Pedagogow i Animatorow KLANZA Branch in Tychy, invite to apply for participation in workshop “Happy with myself, open for others, caring for nature in an intercultural context” to be held in Bielsko-Biala in Poland in April, 2011. The workshop is fully funded from European Union Life Long Learning Program “Grundtvig”; idea of the Program is to create conditions in which adult learners can learn through all life and exchange experiences among all European citizens.
When does the program take place? ?8th – 15th April 2011.
How long does the program last? ?8 days altogether, including one day for arriving and settling in your accommodation, 6 days of workshops and last day for saying goodbyes and evaluating the program.??
What is the main objective and content of the workshop?
It is personal development, gaining more interpersonal knowledge, developing self-awareness, getting back in touch with everyone’s inners voices, reduce tensions and stress in the context of different cultures and diversity. We would like to equip participants with tools and methods on how to build tolerance, respect of other countries and cultures, while at the same time not neglecting the individual borders and values. All this process will be managed focusing on sustainable way of living and respecting the natural environment.
Where does the program take place?
At a beautiful town in mountainous area of Southern Poland – Bielsko-Biala.
What is the cost for participant??
None. The program, including accommodation, food and transport from your country to Bielsko Biala and back, is funded for by the Lifelong Learning Program.
Accommodation & travel:
The workshop will be held in the same hotel, where you will be accommodated. You will a have single room, and hotel offers swimming-pool and other facilities. We will organize your transport directly from Katowice and/or Cracow airports, or you can arrive by train to Katowice or Cieszyn (they are the nearest airports and train stations to Bielsko-Biala).
Who can apply for the workshop?
• any European citizen from countries participating in Life Long Learning Program
• who is 30+ years of age,
• with good command of English language,
• and foremost eager to increase his/her self-awareness, improve interpersonal communication, open to change their way of living into more sustainable and environmental friendly way;
• we especially encourage people living or working in international context eg. being in a mixed-culture relationships, working with foreigners;
• we also welcome people with physical disabilities.
Please be aware that, according to the Programe guidelines, we are not in position to select participants, whose occupation is somehow related to the theme of the workshop (eg. consultants in communication, environment or pedagogues specializing in communication)
How to participate in the program?
First you need to complete the participation form, send the participation form before via e-mail and then by post. Then we will start a selection process by analyzing the forms and we will choose 12 participants and also make the reservation list. By first week of March, we will inform all candidates whether they are selected for the workshop.
