Summary:
This event will gather young people and youth workers coming from cultural minority groups from all over Europe and wishing to develop the visibility of their local project.
Target group:
Young people, Youth leaders, Youth workers National Agencies are welcome to participate.
For participants from:
Youth in Action programme countries.
Group size: 50 participants.
Details:
This event will gather young people and youth workers coming from cultural minority groups from all over Europe and wishing to develop the visibility of their local project.
Objectives:
• To promote the image of young people from cultural minorities and multicultural societies in general;
• To enhance project promoters’ competences to increase the visibility of their projects at local level;
• To identify benefits of projects;
• To share good practices;
• To learn more about youth YouthPass and Non Formal Learning;
• To develop future plans to implement actions/projects at local level.
We will use active methods, including a public event to experience “in real” how to work on the visibility of a project.
Profile of participants:
We are looking for teams of one youth worker + 1-2 young people from the same group at local level. Youth workers can come to the event alone if they justify it. Young people should be accompanied by a youth worker.
• Youth workers / youth leaders;
• Representatives of a cultural minority or working with young people from cultural minority(ies);
• Active at local level;
• Confident to express themselves in English;
• Young people from cultural minority, active at local level.
Costs:
Costs for the trainers, accommodation, meals, material and local transport are taken in charge by the organisers (Finnish National Agency & SALTO Cultural Diversity on behalf of a group of National Agencies). Travel expenses will be reimbursed by your sending National Agency.
