5.1 - meeting of young people and those responsible for youth policy (Youth in Action programme)
Location: Lisbon, Portugal.
Date: 10th to 15th of October 2011.
Partners:
Associação Máquina do Mundo + 7 organizations based in programme countries (27 EU countries, Croatia, Island, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey), 1 organization / country.
Teams:
4 participants (aged 15-30) per partner.
Financial conditions:
• Board, lodging and activities during activity days (as well as visa costs, if applicable and requested by the partner) are fully covered by Associação Máquina do Mundo.
• 70% of total travel costs for the meeting will be reimbursed (up to available budget) when all air carrier / travel agency invoices, e-tickets, boarding passes and other tickets are delivered to Associação Máquina do Mundo.
Summary:
The project "Youth Leaders Looking Ahead to Immigration" aims to
develop a sense of tolerance and social responsability within the
young leaders of Europe. This project is connected to an idea of
active participation and citizenship awareness, that all youngsters
should have, in order to develop a more equal and respectful society. The whole concept of this project is related with immigration, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity and social inclusion, because AMM believes that all these values are irreplaceable for the well-being of the future generations.
According to this, the project will provide workshops, debates,
meetings with experts and visits to institutions and projects working
with immigrant population, and specially, with young people,
enlightning our strategies for the development of Europe, as a context of real inclusion. This project will gather 32 yougsters of 8 different countries (including Portugal), in Lisbon, during 6 days and expecting to realize a very important frame, that will allow everyone to build their individual and collective responsability, through volunteering activities and participation in civil society and political life.

• A brief description of your organization and how you can contribute to this project (activities, ideas, similar past experiences, etc.);
• Name of project coordinator / contact person, direct email address and phone number;
• If you will include people with fewer opportunities in your team,
how many and what are their backgrounds;
• Extra costs that might be associated with participants with fewer
opportunities (e. g. support persons);
• What is your nearest airport and the cost (per person) to reach it
from where you live (round trip);
• Cost estimation for a round trip ticket between your nearest airport and Lisbon airport (IATA code: LIS);
• Cost of a visa to come to Portugal (if applicable);
• Associated costs to get the visa (e. g. travel costs to embassy) (if applicable);
• A scan of your fully filled part 3 (you can find the template
enclosed, do not use outdated forms) (alternatively, part 3 can also be sent by fax, please mention that in your reply). To be sure your part 3 is correctly filled, please check the attached document.
Then, after being sure your digital part 3 is correct (check the
attached document) and having sent all the information requested
above, send 2 original copies by post.
