Activity date:
• October 2011 (exact days still to be confirmed), for the youth exchange;
• APV date still to be confirmed.
Venue place, venue country:Castro Verde, Portugal.
Partners:
Co(op)ração + 6 organizations based in a programme country (27 EU countries, Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey).
Teams:
4 participants (aged 18-30) + 1 leader (no age limits) per partner.
Financial conditions:
• Board, lodging and activities during activity days (as well as visa
costs, if applicable and requested by the partner) are fully covered by Co(op)ração.
• 70% of total travel costs for the exchange will be reimbursed (up to available budget) when all air carrier / travel agency invoices, e-tickets, boarding passes and other tickets are delivered to Co(op)ração.
• Air travels for advanced planning visit will be arranged and fully
covered by Co(op)ração. The partner commits to deliver all boarding passes and local transportation tickets to Co(op)ração.
• If assigned by the Portuguese National Agency, preparation money will be split between the partner and Co(op)ração in a percentage to be agreed during advanced planning visit.
Summary:
This exchange will challenge young people to think about how they want create a better future for Europe.
The objectives are:
• getting young people to debate about important issues on the
demographic context;
• reflecting about how young people can improve the future;
• acknowledge the importance of solidarity among generations in an increasingly aged Europe.
How to apply to be a partner:
Send an email with the following contents:
• A brief description of your organization and how you can contribute to this project (activities, ideas, similar past experiences, etc.);
• Name of project coordinator / contact person, direct email address and phone number;
• If you will include people with fewer opportunities in your team, how many and what are their backgrounds;
• Extra costs that might be associated with participants with fewer opportunities (e. g. support persons);
• What is your nearest airport and the cost (per person) to reach it from where you live (round trip);
• Cost estimation for a round trip ticket between your nearest airport and Lisbon airport (IATA code: LIS);
• Cost of a visa to come to Portugal (if applicable);
• Associated costs to get the visa (e. g. travel costs to embassy) (if applicable);
• A scan of your fully filled part 3 (alternatively, the part 3 can also be sent by fax) and you having sent all the information requested, send 2 original copies by post.
