Summary:
This meeting will gather 25 youth workers working with voluntary service activities for young people, especially EVS projects.
Target group:
Project managers, Youth leaders, Youth workers.
For participants from:
Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania.
Group size: 25 participants.
Details:
During this training course, they will develop their creativity and imagination applied to the voluntary service activities and integration of youth with less opportunities in intercultural projects, particularly in EVS projects.
Themes:
• Development of oneself’s creativity in designing and implementing intercultural activities (EVS),
• Innovation on youth project,
• Management of intercultural activities (mostly in EVS),
• Development of the capacity of youth workers to propose adapted activities to EVS volunteers in general and YWLO in particular,
• Learning in an intercultural environment.
Objectives:
• Improve the quality management of young volunteers projects (EVS);
• Boost creativity of youth workers working on intercultural projects;
• Exchange on the promotion of intercultural / mobility projects and motivation of youth in general and YWLO in particular to participate to them;
• Encourage youth organisations to adapt their activities to youth with less opportunities;
• Increase the inclusion of young people in intercultural projects;
• Reflect on the training needs of each youngster and how to help them to develop their skills.
Working methods:
• “boost your creativity” sessions;
• visits, active discovery;
• presentations, discussions, exchanges;
• project development;
• role plays & case studies;
• tool fairs: presenting a techniques to the others.
Profile of participants:
• EVS responsible person (mentors / EVS tasks responsible) with at least 1 year of working experience,
• Ex-EVS volunteers willing to get involved in management of EVS activities (mentoring, co-ordination, EVS tasks responsible persons),
• EVS officer / co-ordinators.
Costs:
30 % of the transport costs from your place till the seminar place (Brioude). Participation fee of 30 €.
Working language: English.
