• Building trust – Reputation for integrity, dealing honestly and openly with issues and staff; recognized and highly respected by peers, clients and staff.


Education

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in social sciences, finance, business administration or management or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.


Work Experience

A minimum of fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, budgeting, administration or business in multicultural institutions as well as in programme and project planning and analyses; hands on experience in public sector financial environment. Extensive experience in legislative machinery and procedures, budgetary policies and practices, financial regulations and rules.


Languages

Fluency in one of the working languages of the UN Secretariat, English or French, (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage

Assessment Method

The assessment of candidates may include a written test and interview.
