The place of the Project: Tosya/Kastamonu, Turkey.
The duration of the Youth Exchange: 10 days.
The purpose of the Project:
Our project aims at knowing different cultures through photographs, establishing an intercultural dialogue and crowning these aims with an activity of aid by holding an intercultural photo exhibition.
The profile of the participants:
The organisations based in programme countries (27 EU countries, Croatia,Turkey,Iceland,Liechtenstein,Norway and Switzerland).
Teams:
6+ 1(group leader) – host country
4+ 1 (group leader-) – partner countries –per organisation
The age of the participants: between the ages of 15-25
The age of the group leaders : no age limits
It is necessary to pay attention to the equality of the numbers of participant girls and boys.And also it is an obligation to involve the youngs who have limited opportunities .Every participant have to be willing to participate in the activities and contribute to the studies . each participant will carry out his/her responsibilities.
Group leaders have to be good at English.
Some other information about the Project :
The themes of the project are culture,art and volunteering activities.The Project is going to be realized in Turkey and its basic aim is both learning about different cultures and make the feeling of helping people who are in need regardless of their language,religion and race adopted and by this way contributing to generalize the volunteering concept.The Project lasts 10 days.at least four countries will take place in the Project.There are at least 22 participants in total..The group leaders are good at English and they know their group well. The active participation of the participants is ensured with the Project activities and non-formal education methods will be used. The partners have to take some photos in their hometowns before the meeting for the intercultural photo exhibition that will be arranged during the meeting(activity week) in host country. There are five themes for these photos : daily life in my district/city , my culture,my history,our natural beauties,we are famous .The number of the photos in each theme has to be at least 4.But they can bring more photos .These photos should be both printed in the size of nearly 40x50 cm in the host country so they can be in dijital form in a CD-Rom.The photos of each country will be prepared and designed in a specific time with all of the participants’ participation and contribution. A short information that introduces the things inside of the photos will be added under the photos or anywhere else. These texts will be not only in mother tongues but also in English and Turkish.Except for the active participants (core team) ,some other voluntary youngsters from the district (host country ) where the activity will take place will be assigned in both workshops and photo exhibition in order that these activities can be realized easily and more effectively. The visitors coming to our intercultural photo exhibition can make donations. The income that will be got from those donations in the exhibition will be used for realizing a reasonable wish of the disabled yougsters or children or for answering one of their needs.
Financial conditions:
• Boarding, lodging and activities during activity days ( as well as visa costs,if applicable and requested by the partner ) are fully covered by The Directorate of Tosya National Education in the context of this Project.
• %70 of total travel costs fort he activity will be reimbursed ( up to available budget ) when alla ir carrier/ travel agency invoices,e-tickets, boarding passes and other tickets are delivered to The Directorate of Tosya National Education.
Important!
Please send us your travel expenses as Euro : from your hometown to Tosya. What is your nearest airport and the cost (per person) to reach it from where you live (round trip). Cost estimation for a round trip ticket between your nearest airport and Tosya. Cost of a visa to come to Turkey (if applicable). We need these informtion in advance to write in the application form and ask for %70 of your travel and %100 of your visa expenses from our National Agency .
The PART III form :
You have to fill in that form and it must be signed by the legal representative of your organisation. You should scan the filled and signed form then send the scanned by email and also you should send the original Part III which is filled and signed by post.
