Aim of project:
The project is aiming to increase the level of quality of youth leaders and youth workers on the topic of volunteerism by improving their educational aspects.
Objectives of project:
• To rediscover the meaning of the volunteerism,
• To practice transforming of any activity into learning opportunity,
• To learn the principles of developing activities and the programme flow in order to reach the learning objectives,
• To discuss the quality criteria’s of the youth project and its facilitation,
• To share good experiences in learning together with young people from different situations.
Programme:
• Getting to know, ice breaking, group building;
• Different types of volunteerism;
• How we can work with the volunteers;
• Target groups for our tasks;
• How to improve the quality of the volunteers;
• How we can take interest of the youngsters as the volunteers;
• Workshops of participants to practice use of different methods;
• Opportunity to discuss new projects.
The working methods of the project will be diverse and multipurpose addressing different learning styles like presentations, interactive workshops including elements of group work individual work, discussions, exchange of experience, debates etc. The chosen methods are based on idea of active participation to allow the best input and involvement of participants.
The following principles will be used:

• Non-formal approach.
Participants:
3 participants from each country. (There is no age limit)
Totally 8 countries - 24 participants.
Finance:
This project is going to finance under the “Youth in Action” Program. According to this we will cover the costs of the project with the rules of European Commission which are specified for “Youth in Action” Program. 70% of the travel costs will be reimbursed after the project when participants will send the full documentation of their travel tickets. Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon presentation of all (including return tickets) original tickets, receipt/invoices and boarding passes. This means that once home after the training, you will be requested to send us the originals of all return documents and boarding passes. Please remember to bring the original invoice with you – there will be no reimbursement without the original invoice. 100% of accommodation and food costs are covered during the program time. Visa costs are the eligible costs for the reimbursement. We are thinking to introduce a small participation fee 20 Euros to cover the extra expenses organizing a small trip and extra costs to make programme richer, but what is not covered by Youth in Action Programme. For the participation fee you do not have to give us 20 Euros in cash, but it will be deducted from your travel reimbursement. The policy of our NA is that taxi costs are not reimbursed. Please, use the public transport and keep all tickets. The travel costs and visa costs will be reimbursed on the basis of the most economic transport fares and on presentation of the relevant receipts and original tickets. Health insurance is not provided and will not be reimbursed by the organizers. All participants are strongly advised to purchase private travel insurance as a regular procedure for your travel.
Intercultural events:
We kindly request you to bring some national snacks, drinks and music from your home country, as a contribution to the intercultural evenings! You could prepare 10 min presentation about your culture or who you are. But we would appreciate, if you do not have power-point presentations. Try to think something that we could do together about your culture to promote intercultural learning.
If you represent an organization, please bring information materials about the organization, i.e. photos and reports from former projects and further material which will help you to present your organization.
There will be a resource table where you can hand-over your materials and get to know others.
