“Born To Be Wild 2011” you say?
8 days of living intensively in the wild: a lot of cool activities in nature: survival techniques, first aid, sleeping in tents in the meadow, cooking your own meals...
8 days of reflecting on your lifestyle: How eco/green are you? How connected to nature are you? Waste reduction. Decrease your environmental impact and learn how you can start having a more sustainable lifestyle.
8 days of living in tents together with 25 young people from Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Portugal and Hungary! Moreover you're invited to the unique Lemkos minority festival!
To summarize: we will spend eight days in nature, trying to live more simply and reflect how we could change the way we live in the city. There will also be plenty of time for calm thinking about how we live, if our lifestyle is ecological and if there is a way how to connect these 8 days spent in nature with everyday life and how to share our experiences with others.
Whom is it for?
The activity is designed for youth workers, group leaders, scouts, trainers and people with a general interest in the topic. We are looking for multipliers that are willing and looking forward to implement and share what they will learn during Born To Be Wild. Who are ready to discover nature together, and are open to new adventures and learning by exploring and experiencing. If you are between 18 and 30, coming from either Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Portugal, and Hungary, able to communicate in English and willing to go through this green adventure with us, Born To Be Wild is being organised for you.
Where is it taking place?
Born To Be Wild will have its base camp in a beautiful countryside of Southern Poland, near Krakow. The camp base of our Polish member organisation is called Radocyna Base Camp. Away from civilization, in the middle of meadows, fields and forests. We will stay at a camp site, so be ready for rather natural conditions. No electricity and running water! Sleeping in tents! Be ready to be wild!
