Summary:
“Power-tools for self-organisation” is a training course on successful self-organisation which sets the focal view on the phenomenon of self-organisation itself.
Target group: Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth workers.
For participants from: Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, United Kingdom.
Group size: 25 participants.
Details:
The aim of the training is the exchange and exploration of the potentials and the power of self-organisation. This training is meant to be an approach, a combination of training, exchange, input and practice of self-organisation, reflecting on the experiences and developing strategies and actions that support self-organisation obtained through self-organisation.
Invitation
Our attempt is to apply self-organisation itself as the vehicle to explore conditions for effective self-organisation and strategies how to use and how to consciously transfer and integrate self-organisation into daily working processes. Besides offering a structure to define a common ground, for reflection and action-planning, the training course depends on your inputs and your contribution! You will have time and space to introduce tools, methods, technologies, philosophies, games, experiences, strategies, concepts, systems, questions etc. that support self-organisation. We invite you to taste, try, reflect, explore, create, indicate, conduct and raise awareness towards self-organisation with the aim to achieve a profound collection of self-organisation-supporting mechanisms and tools and concrete action planning and net-working.
How to participate?
If you are interested in participating in this training course, we kindly invite you to apply for this training program by completing the attached questionnaire. Participants will be suggested by the national partners and chosen by the trainers' team. The deadline for submitting the questionnaires is: 20.06.2011. Please email the completed questionnaires to your national co-ordinator. After being chosen the participants for the training will receive a confirmation email with additional information about the training and your travel. Please do not buy any tickets before you will receive this confirmation!
Additional information:
About 25 youth workers, young leaders and counsellors from 6 EU countries will come together to exchange their experiences with self-organisation – developing a common understanding and gaining knowledge of methods. Participants will reflect on how they can implement self-organisation with groups at risk of social exclusion and plan direct action on the European level. The idea is that participants from each partner organisation provide at least one workshop during the “parallel workshop times”, which are indicated in the programme. During these periods there will be 3-4 parallel workshops with different topics which are self-organized and provided by the participants.
Target group:
• young leaders, youth trainers/workers who are actively working with young people on a professional or voluntary basis;
• aged 18 years old and above.
Costs:
Accommodation and lodging are covered by the Youth in Action programme and 70% of the travel expenses are covered by the Youth in Action programme (cheapest means of travel). Don't buy any ticket before you received a confirmation letter.
