The Center for Youth Activity is planning to apply for a 3.1 Training Course, Developing Green Story on 1st of September deadline , and we are looking for 6 partner organizations for this Training course, preferably 3 from the EU countries and 3 Non-EU countries(Balkan countries).
About the organization:
Center for Youth Activity is an Association established in 2010 as a product of youth activism .We defined our vision in the full involvement of young people in the process of creating and implementing policies .We conduct our work with a mission by 2020 Youth Activity to grow into practice. The main target group are young people between 16-30 years old, but we are open and we welcome anyone who want to help us in realization of our mission and vision and the achievement of our goals and objectives.
About the project:
We live in an era of technology. Regardless of the well preserved popularity and preference to conventional methods of communication and information storage, our contemporary society is moving towards digitalization and virtualization. Yet, our planet is not virtual; we live in a very concrete environment and are exposed - either virtually or in reality - to the consequences of climate change. Everyday we face a new media information boom about climate change and sustainable development and how our countries are struggling to preserve nature and trying to fight climate changes. Thus, having in mind the great public interest, Center for Youth Activities decided to apply with a project that aims to organize a training course in digital green skills in order to raise awareness about environment and nature protection and discuss the philosophy related to it as a tool for fostering active participation of young people in the EU and Neighboring countries. Our digital photography and video training course called TC Developing Green Story will invite 30 diverse young people from 6 different countries, bringing them in Struga, Macedonia. With non-formal education approaches and use of the old/new media (photography) and video technologies, the project of Center for youth Activities aspires to stimulate awareness about the need to protect the environment and nature among young people. During 5 days in the Western part of Macedonia our participants will have an opportunity to improve their knowledge about visual skills, gain know-how in digital photography and video making as well as in production of photos and videos covering topics related to nature protection. During the training course we expect that participants will learn how new media (digital photos and videos) could contribute to increase the public awareness about environmental protection of nature among young people.
