We are preparing a project called “Bridge between generations” related to the topic of intergenerational dialogue. We are looking for partners for this exchange where we are going to motivate youth to respect and learn from the elderly people and at the same time be ready to train them into the modern skills needed in our dynamic world. For 7 days we are going to exchange best practices and projects we have implemented on the topic.There will also be an intercultural night when each of the participating groups will represent its culture, cuisine and traditions. In the course of the daily discussions, energizers and role plays the participants will develop intercultural consciousness, tolerance and will improve their socio-cultural skills.We plan to have the APV for the group leaders around the 19th February when there are some celebrations in our town commemorating the death of our national hero Vasil Levski who was born in our town. The dates of the APV are planned for 17-19th February 2012. For the APV the travel costs are covered at 100 %.
The exchange will take place between 2nd March/ arrival day/ and 9th March/ departure day/ 2012. During the exchange we will celebrate together our national holiday (3rd March) and International Women’s Day(8th March).We will stay at a hotel in the very center of Karlovo. The official language of the exchange is English. We cover the accommodation only for the days of the event (2nd –9th March 2012) and 70 % of the travel costs. Please, try to arrange your journey in the most economical manner possible (APEX tickets, student fee, etc).There is no participation fee. We expect 5 participants (1 leader and 4 young people) from each organization to join the project. The age range of the participants is can be 14-25(exceptionally up to 30) – no age limit for the leaders.
If you are interested in taking part, please send us the signed Part III first scanned or by fax and then by post (we need the originally signed and sealed Part III by post) no later than 17th August 2012.
