Summary:
In the training course, participants will acquire new alternative methods for dealing with social problems/conflicts and oppression. The training will focus mainly on Forum Theatre method, but will also approach Image Theatre and Invisible Theatre.
Target group: Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth workers.
For participants from: Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey.
Group size: 24 participants.
Details:
The main goal of the training “Take Artitude! Be the change you want to see in the world.” is to increase the capacity of youth workers to encourage participation and involvement of young people in social processes;
More specific Objectives of the project are:
• To develop and improve participants’ skills in non-formal education; social and training skills (communication, leadership and presentation skills, etc.), which are necessary to gain to continue as multipliers of Forum Theatre;
• To analyze and describe the aim, role and advantages of the Forum Theatre method;
• To apply the working method of Forum Theatre in the participants local/regional/national/international projects;
• To create strategies for dealing with team members, and all the process that a Forum Theatre project implies;
• To increase active participation of the participants in social processes and change their attitudes;
• To develop facilitation and mediation skills;
• To find out similarities and differences in social problems that countries/communities are facing on their way to social inclusion, as well as similarities and differences in methods and approaches used to resolve conflicts and problems.
Costs:
100% of accommodation costs and 70% of total travel costs (there is a cost limit for each country) are covered by the Youth in Action programme. Please don't make any travel arrangements until you received our confirmation letter.
