Description:
The project Dance without borders” will be held in Romania with10 partners, during 8 days as a part of the Youth in action programme, Action 1, sub-action 3.1a, Youth Exchange project. Every country will bring 4 participants plus 1 leader and the aim of the project is to motivate young people to gain social competences and skills to be active citizens in society. The objectives of the project are to increase active citizenship, to inspire friendship and mutual understanding through dance, to offer young people the chance to be part of a group, to learn more about different ways of spending free time, to discover other cultures, to raise self-esteem and self-confidence and to get involved in creating an international atmosphere. Name activities and games, energizers and ice-breakers, workshops for understanding dance culture and learning dance steps, sightseeing, movie projection, intercultural evenings, dance sessions, evaluation meetings, team-building games are the activities of this project. Power point presentations, short movies presentations, group interaction, interviews are the methods that will be used during project implementation.

Duration:
8 days (excluding arrival and departure)
Participants:
4+1 participants per organization
a total of 50 participants
Potential Partner Countries:
EU Countries plus EU, Turkey, Norway, Lichtenstein and Eastern European and Caucasus, South Eastern Europe
Conditions:
As the project seeks funding by the Youth in Action Programme accommodation and food will be provided by the organizers. Travel costs to the venue and back will be covered 70%.
