Summary:
The main goal of the project is to increase the level of awareness in the area of global education and sustainable development among Europeans.
Target group:
Project managers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth workers.
Any adult person that has a genuine interest in sustainable development area.
For participants from:
Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Turkey.
Group size: 12 participants.
Details:
During the workshop, participants will go to an in-depth process of exploring global topics and how to apply “think global, act local” motto in their own lives and organizations by acquire new alternative methods for making awareness and a change in their lives (and organizations). Different tools and method will be explored and can be used further on in their activities with their target groups and in non-formal education of their colleagues. The course is based on experiential learning – during the learning process participants will work on and analyze some if the problems and concepts and they will need to practically situations by themselves. Thus, the participants will both understand interconnections between different social processes and improve their professional skills.
Expected outputs (especially in terms of the learning outcomes for the participants). Participants Learners of the workshop will:
• Acquire new skills and knowledge about global education, sustainable development, volunteering, etc;
• Be equipped with the different tools of global education;
• Be able to implement global perspective in their work and in their everyday reality (to think globally and act locally);
• Improve their communication, leadership and teamwork skills;
• Develop a proactive and assertive attitude to global differences and challenges;
• Increase their level of active participation in social processes and change their attitudes;
• Transfer gained knowledge and skills into new initiatives and projects;
• Develop new international partnerships and cooperation;
• Develop new local projects incorporating sustainable development topics;
• Have a greater understanding of intercultural learning as a powerful tool to develop tolerance.
Costs:
Accommodation and full board is covered 100%; Travel cost are reimbursed 100% up to certain limits (for each country).
