Summary:
TC aims to increase the level of awareness in the area of sustainable development among young Europeans, by training 26 youth workers to become global education multipliers.
Target group: Youth workers.
For participants from:
Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Former Yugoslav Republic of, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo.
Group size: 26 participants.
Details:
The main goal of the project is to increase the level of awareness in the area of sustainable development among young Europeans. During the training course participants will go through a non-formal educational process that will include topics such as: global interdependencies (from cultural, economical and political approach), MDG-s, social and global justice, climate change, consumerism and sustainable lifestyle, educational and methodological tools, “take action”. The training will have a high level of practical approach, based on experiential learning and it will aim at empowering the participants of using these methods in their own realities. The target audience are youth workers (aged 18 and above) that are interested in the global topics (having some previous experience is welcomed, but not necessary) and need more knowledge and deeper understanding of these topics as well as tools for dealing with these issues in their work, life and communities.
The training has three integrated learning phases:
1. Introductory phase (preparation for the course) through distance e-learning, starting from October 15th till the beginning of the residential;
2. Residential training course, from November 18th to November 27th in Fruska gora, Serbia;
3. Follow-up phase through distance e-learning, starting from November 28th to December 31st.
Costs:
This project is funded by the Youth in Action Programme. According to its rules, all costs of board and logging will be covered by the organisers. In addition, the Youth Dialogue Programme is going to reimburse 70% of the participants’ travel costs, upon the receipt of all original tickets and invoices.
