Summary:
The main aim of the exchange is to raise awareness of cultural diversity and develop skills for using cultural diversity as a positive and powerful tool in youth work.
Target group:
Young people, Youth leaders.
For participants from:
Bulgaria, Hungary, Malta, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Turkey.
Group size: 35 participants.
Details:
?bjectives of the exchange are:
• To discuss topics related to volunteerism as a way of life, awareness, participation in public life;
• To reflect on issues such as identity, nationalism, Europe, discrimination, social exclusion and their relevance to youth projects;
• To exchange and analyse today's challenges and to initiate innovative projects on participation and citizenship and document good practice and and development of volunteering;
• To develop practical approaches and methods for translating solidarity, empathy, democracy, citizenship and volunteering into youth work practice;
• To motivate and enable participants to share their acquired knowledge, information and experience as widely as possible and act as multipliers on the issues of volunteering, intercultural education, equal opportunities and empowerment of the youth after the exchange.
Duration, Venue, Partners: The exchange will bring together for 6 working days, 35 experienced and active young people representatives from 6 European countries. (Bulgaria, Portugal, Hungary, Malta, Slovakia, Turkey).
Costs:
100% accomodation and 70% travel costs.
Working language: English.
