Europe Direct Centre in Cáceres is pleased to announce "MOVE FOR EUROPE" competition. This year is celebrated "IV Edition of Photography Contest":
IV PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST 2011
“MOVILIZATE POR EUROPA”

1. The contest is open to all adult people, regardless of their nationality or place of residence.
2. The subjects shall cover European issues; the picture should emphasize or represent author’s vision on Europe, given the theme of this year 2011: "Volunteering and Citizen Participation."
3. Photos must be original, unpublished and not awarded in any other photo contest. It is allowed to participate with creative photography, collages and compositions.
4. The format of the photographs will be 30x45 cm. There are accepted white and black or colour photos. Glass protected photos are not admitted. The number of pictures to be submitted by each participant will be limited to 3.
5. Each photo has a title written on the backside, along with a pseudonym to indicate the author. The author will introduce his/her personal data (name, surname, ID number, address and phone number) in a sealed envelope with the pseudonym written on the outside.
6. The envelopes containing the artworks will be noted on the exterior part with the text: "IV PHOTO CONTEST EUROPE DIRECT 2011", and may be submitted personally or sent by mail to the following address:
• Europe Direct Centre, Edificio Valhondo, Avda University s / n 10003. Cáceres
7. The deadline for admission of the photos is November 15
8. The jury will be appointed by the Europe Direct Centre of Cáceres, composed of competent people in related to the subject. Once established the winning photos the jury will proceed to the identification of the authors, by opening the sealed envelope containing their personal data.
9. The best three photos participating in the contest will be awarded. The prizes are:
• First prize: 700 euros
• Second prize: 500 euros
• Third prize: 300 euros
Also, there will be a series of finalist photographers.
10. Any comic may be withheld, if the jury decides that it doesn’t comply terms and conditions required in the contest. Any issue not covered in these rules will be solved by the jury. The jury will be announced through the media and communicated to the winners.
11. The winning photos and the finalist ones will be exhibited in a place and to a date to be determined and will be a publication with the same, stating the name of the author. For this, the respective authors will be asked to send their works on a CD Jpg, tif, psd. and Bmp. at full resolution.
12. The finalist winning authors will cession the copyright on their work arts to Europe Direct, without asking any financial compensation in return. Their photos will belong to Europe Direct Cáceres. The other photos can be picked-up by the authors from the same centre. The authors who can not pick up their photos can send a stamped envelope with their name and address to Centre, and their works will be sent to them by mail.
13. Participating in the contest implies the acceptance of all the rules aforementioned and of all the decisions taken by the jury.
