We, as the members of the `Avanos Ceramic Club' in Nevsehir University, Avanos Vocational School are aware of the fact that ceramic art which has had an everlasting influence on society and culture for centuries should not be forgotten since it has a quite rooted and is continuously open to innovations and changes. With this awareness, we decided to prepare a project so as to make a contribution to the development and permanence of the ceramic art. The idea of this project has emerged with the Traditional Ceramic Symposia that are realized in Avanos and we came to the conclusion that there must be co-operational studies in an international medium to share the history in Avanos, Cappadocia knowledge about ceramic art especially crystal glazes, engobe, terracotta and such different techniques. All interested organizations need to send me an e-mail introducing their organization. After that I will demand their Part III by fax.
Costs:
70% of the travel costs will be covered.
100% of accommodation and meals.
No participation fee.
