Every youth exchange has a huge potential towards increased employability chances and entrepreneurship for young people. Are you interested in focussing on and deepening out these topics in your next exchange? This partnership building activity will provide you with support for partner finding, the project idea development and project implementation. A possibility to discover the employability and entrepreneurship dimension in your project!
Background:
In recent years most European countries have had an increase in youth unemployment. This development has been further increased by the economic crisis in Europe and the rest of the world. The European Commission has with the Youth on the Move strategy stressed the urgent need to tackle the problem and encouraged the use of the existing mobility programmes, including the Youth in Action Programme, to increase young people’s employability and enhance their creative cultural and innovative capabilities towards entrepreneurship.
Aim:
To build up partnerships for future youth exchanges focussing on entrepreneurship and employability.
Objectives:
• To develop international youth exchanges focussing on entrepreneurship and/or employability;
• To explore, exchange and discuss different ways how a youth exchange can contribute to employability and entrepreneurship;
• Share and explore ideas, experience and areas of common interest in the intercultural settings.
This partnership building activity will provide you with support for partner finding, the project idea development and project implementation. A possibility to discover the employability and entrepreneurship dimensions in your projects!
Profile of participants:
• Participants working directly with young people;
• Participants who are interested in the topic;
• Participants who are looking for an international partner(s) to organise a youth exchange within the framework of Youth in Action;
• Participants are at least 18 years of age and are able to communicate in English.
Costs:
This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
