Are you mentor in EVS project? Are you interested to share your experience and to get new knowledge and ideas to raise quality of your work? If yes, this training course is for you!
Aim of the course:
To increase the quality of EVS hosting activities through development of mentors competencies in the organizing volunteers learning process.
Objectives:
• To get a better understanding of mentors role in EVS circle;
• To raise awareness of mentoring approach and context;
• To improve the abilities to organize volunteers learning process;
• To provide tools for volunteers learning support.
Themes:
• What are the EVS mentor’s roles and competences;
• What is the learning in EVS and what does influence it;
• How mentor can organize the learning process in EVS ;
• Tools for volunteers learning support – reflection, feedback, counseling, learning plan, Youthpass
Target group of the training:
• Young people with experience as a mentor at least at one EVS project;
• Are able to communicate and work in English;
• Are 15-30 years old;
• Are resident of Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia.
Costs:
This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
