Trainers' Forum is an event that gathers trainers from different NGOs and provides the platform for sharing, networking and inspiring among NGOs. This year's focus will be 'second level education' - trainer’s development after their t4t. After the success of the previous two editions, BEST decided to take the initiative to organize the 3rd edition of Trainers' Forum! The 1st edition took place in Budapest, in 2010. The event was organized by BEST and was the first real opportunity for our different trainers' communities to meet, share their experiences and ideas. The second edition, organized in Vienna, continued what began a year before and followed the topic of ensuring quality training. This edition we will narrow the focus down to the pieces that hold everything together: you - the trainers! The focus area of Trainers’ Forum 2012 will be trainer’s development (related to “second level education" - development of the trainers after their t4t). This will be the perfect opportunity for you to find ways to develop yourself, learn new techniques, gain knowledge in the field that you enjoy the most and meet new people with different backgrounds, who also spend many hours dealing with flip-charts and markers !
What will you find there ?
• The event includes different ways to learn and share our ideas;
• Trainers discussions, training sessions for trainers;
• Open Space Technology (a self-organising approach for discussing various complex topics at the same time);
• TED-like talks' evening will also take place with VIPs speakers.
Costs:
Participants will have to find the best way of getting to and from Ljubljana on their own expense. The event fee will be up to 40€, which will cover food, accommodation and needed office supplies.
