Summary:
Europe is facing a challenge due to demographic changes. In this context, it is important to foster active ageing and intergeneration dialogue, ensuring that people live longer and with a better quality of life.
Target group:
Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Project managers, Youth Policy Makers, EVS mentors/tutors.
For participants from:
Croatia, EU MEMBER STATES, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland.
Group size: 20 participants.
Details:
Professionals should acquire or improve their skills to develop successful projects that promote active ageing through mutual dialogue between seniors and youngsters, especially in 2012 which will be the European Year for Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity.
Main goal:
Give positive learn about the topic ageing and improve skills about the projects that promote active ageing with element and effort of intergeneration dialogue. Encourage the participants’ general knowledge all phases of a project (especially when involve seniors and youngsters), methodology, examples of projects active ageing and the importance of intergenerational dialogue for an active and productive life - an important element in the 2020 European Strategy.
The programme will include:
• Workshops and presentations (exchange of knowledge, experiences, good practices and successful projects);
• Group work (role-play e and others exercises) and debates;
• Use of questionnaires to assess the interests of older people in order to stimulate and involve them to have a intergeneration dialogue;
• Building activities’ (hands-on exercises) plan related to active ageing.
Follow-up
The course will include a global assessment based on feedback from participants, to confirm whether the objectives have been achieved.
The follow-up can include:
• Preparation of follow-up activities (using ideas, material and tools acquired in this course) – updated at the share data base;
• Development of new projects in the field of active ageing, in participants countries;
• Networking activities;
• More projects under the framework of Grundtvig/European programmes.
Costs:
You can apply by 17th September 2012 for funding at your Lifelong Learning National Agency, for receiving a grant covering fully all your expenses (course fee, travel, accommodation, subsistence) and participating in any of our 5-days course below in Lisbon (Portugal).
