Expected outputs:
Awareness of competences that the participants develop by volunteering. Knowledge how to get external recognition for these competences. Proposals how to transfer the acquired knowledge to the own organisation.
Subject area:
- Assessment, certification, valuing learning;
- Recognition of non-formal and informal learning;
- Volunteering.
Programme:
Day 1 Arrival. Introduction of the programme, introduction and expectations of participants and staff, reflection on own learning process, working with learning diary.
Day 2 What is recognition? What is non-formal learning? Introduction of terms, background information about European programs and policies, transfer to own learning environment as volunteer
Day 3 Recognition on personal level: what are my competences, how can I describe the competences, why would I like to have external recognition, how to get external recognition.
Day 4 Recognition on the level of the organization: what can my organization do to support the recognition of my learning outcomes
Day 5 Overview of existing tools. Evaluation and dissemination. Departure.
Costs:
The workshop is funded under the Grundtvig programme, part of the Life Long Learning Programme of the European Union. All costs of participation, including travel, board and lodging, will be reimbursed.
