Summary:
In our everyday life, in the work with children and teenager, we have to deal with their family and especially with their parents. But... In which way can we involve them? Which are the best methods to improve parents' education?
Target group:
Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Project managers, Youth Policy Makers, EVS mentors/tutors, Educators,social workers, psychologists, pedagogues.
For participants from:
Youth in Action Programme Countries.
Group size: maximum 25 participants participants.
Details:
The course is based on a Manual of good practices about parents’ education developed in a Grundtvig Partnership thanks the contribution of 5 European educational organizations (From Spain, Bulgaria, France, Turkey and Italy).
The Manual is divided in 4 different sections:
1) Informational materials for parents;
2) Education and training of parents;
3) Individual and group counselling for parents;
4) Training parents to be Training.
The course analyzes these good practises (activities, methodologies and instruments) and permits a comparison between participants.
Main Goals are:
• Providing practices of methods in parents education;
• Exchanging experiences and ideas about parenthood;
• Developing links with teachers, educators and social workers from different European countries.
Costs:
The course, in the complete version, has been validated to the Grundtvig National Agency (ex- Indire). European participants could receive an INDIVIDUAL GRANT to cover your expenses (course, travel, accomodation) under the Lifelong Learning Programme.
To be precise, the grant covers:
- 750€ for course fee;
- 450€ for accommodation and all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee breaks).
